Rehabilitation Therapy

Through our highly recognized rehabilitation program, Advena Living at Fountainview provides in-house physical, occupational and speech therapy services seven days a week. We also offer orthopedic and respiratory rehabilitation, and we specialize in plans and services for our community members who are working hard to return to their home.

Our medical director leads the team in developing an individualized treatment program designed to help achieve optimal independence. Members of the rehabilitation team will collaborate with our community members to restore mobility, independence and autonomy, working together in a safe and comforting environment.

As a source of constant support, we will help form a clear plan to accomplish individual health goals and achieve the best possible quality of life.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy enables our community members to restore and achieve optimal movement and function, as well as relieve pain and discomfort. Through evaluation and treatment programs, our physical therapists can treat a variety of conditions, including:

Amputations
Arthritis
Balance/gait disorders
Low back and neck pain
Other orthopedic/athletic injuries
Treatment following joint replacement surgery

Occupational Therapy

These services help maximize functional speech, language, cognition and swallowing skills. Treatment is provided to community members of all ages who have a range of diagnoses such as:

Motor speech disorders
Swallowing disorders
Aphasia (language disorder that affects ability to communicate)

Orthopedic Rehabilitation

For community members needing orthopedic rehabilitation and therapy, our goal is to restore strength and range of motion with the use of specialized equipment, such as the exercise bike and OmniCycle®. We treat numerous orthopedic conditions, including:

Post-major joint replacement surgery
Fractures resulting from falls
Spinal cord injury
Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis exacerbation
Other conditions occurring after surgery

Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory therapy is a program of exercises and treatments designed to help our community members maintain and recover lung function after an illness, injury or surgery. We provide full-time in-house respiratory therapy services five days a week and on-call. Our therapists are specially trained to provide personalized care under the direction of each community member’s physician.

Speech and Language Pathology and Swallowing Management

Through occupational therapy, our community members strive to achieve independence in their lives as they work through disabilities. The occupational therapist facilitates, promotes, maintains and enhances performance in activities of daily living skills, regardless of physical, developmental or social issues.
